Details..

The details would most definitely include the size, style, target audience, name etc of the magazine.
As the basic conventions of the magazine suggests and portrays elegance- the standard size, i.e, 8.5″ 11″ would be my preference as taking risks for the first ever media project does not seem very suitable to be, however the basic layout of the magazine would be the same as all the others as well, but i might change the way general conventions are used– there would be a unique typeface and an eye- catching font of my magazine.

The target audience is a major question, since the magazine is based on pre-schoolers and those who’s parents are thinking about finally having their child admitted to school the target audience would be based around new moms, 3-4 year olds, teachers etc who have a lot of interaction with children aged 3-4. This particular age is know as the age of development so this magazine would cater to all the needs and requirements which would include small activities that would definitely energize the children and allow them to engage themselves into being developed in a different yet interesting way. This way the teachers and parents would have an idea of how to engage their young ones into activities that are fun, but also educational.

Deciding the name of the magazine was a challenging task for me, the name i ended up choosing was, “Angels”

The reason i chose this name was because it represents small children who are often referred to as being angels. Following this representation and keeping in mind the target audience this name would be perfect for the preliminary task to make the magazine further.

My photography experience

As the images above suggest my idea for the magazine revolves around life at preschool and how it can be made fun instead of it being monotonous for both, the kids and teachers. The images were taken during our media studies class where we devoted two hours to photography, while one hour was fully dedicated to choose what pictures i would keep as an option for my media magazine.

These three images have been taken keeping the idea in mind that the magazine should be simple yet attractive, the colours of the magazine are very important as they act as an indicator to attract consumers, no one would want to purchase something dull and unattractive. Preschool life is fun and colourful, photographing children was the hardest task since getting the correct expressions is what we aim for- the pictures definitely have some flaws but those would be catered to during the editing process.

I hope my magazine turns out to be the way i would want it, attractive for both children, teachers and parents with interesting activities that would lighten up the mood of the viewer!
